1. Name: Robin
2. Age: 25
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I'd prefer somewhere with public transportation. Probably either London or New York because both of these cities have a lot of theater, culture and entertainment of various types. The problem with living in a city is that I'm not very fond of people and crowds so I think that I would get very sick of that aspect after a while. Therefore I'd probably want to live around the outskirts of the city where it's less populated.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Something like V's hideout in V for Vendetta only with several game systems and some sculpting tools.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Either Harry or Ron. There are quite a few that I dislike but you don't have to deal with them as consistently as these two. I think that Harry himself tops the list because he's so entitled and self-centered and he never has to work for what he gets. He survives most of his encounters on a combination of incredible luck and coincidence. Everything is always all about him, but he sulks about being the center of attention. He has very little sympathy or interest in anyone else's problems, and the messiah act coupled with the casting of unforgivables in book 7 was the final nail in the coffin. No, actually the final nail might have been when "all was well" in the end because Harry Potter was happy even though very little actually seemed to have changed in the wizarding world.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Both and neither, what does it matter? Oh but I do tend to be more of a pessimist since you're wondering.
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.
"Contentment is the drug of fools, I prefer truth, and the truth is that we are animals scratching and rutting under an empty sky. In the playhouse we can pretend that our lives have meaning, but the pretense only holds if we are given the truth... the theater is my soothing drug and my cynics illness is so acute that my physic must be of the highest quality"
John Wilmot in The Libertine
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? My friends are my family and they come first and last.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? I don't really have one. There were good moments but nothing really stands out.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I have quite a few but my worst flaw is probably my overwhelming cynicism and misanthropy. I'm really not good at dealing with people beyond a level of superficial politeness and I don't like being around most of them for extended lengths of time.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Maybe. They certainly weren't learning anything in the actual DAtDA class and I think that application is very important for such a subject. Considering my opinions on Harry though I might have had quite a bit of trouble taking orders from him so maybe I would have found a different group, or worked on application with a friend or two.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. It depends on the stress. I have no problem with challenges so if it's difficult in that it's challenging, like if I have to get a paper done over the weekend or something, I'll attack the problem with tenacity and determination. I hate being scrutinized though and tests where you have someone hanging over you shoulder watching your every movement stress me out no end. I can stand being watched if I must, but I hate talking in front of people (like public speaking or giving reports). I'm very bad at communicating my feelings and thoughts out loud so I tend to be terse, blunt, and vague (an interesting combination I admit but somehow I manage it). I also tend to blush and sometimes even start shaking which I hate because I don't like to show my feelings either. Really I just hate dealing with people in that way (I can stand them individually but groups are beyond me) and as far as I'm concerned it's the worst type of stress.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? I really can't choose they're both so valuable. I'd say that my sense of justice is much stronger than my ability to be compassionate (I tend to be rather cold and ruthless really), but I'm in awe of people who are truly compassionate. I also highly respect those who stand up for their beliefs and fight for those who are marginalized by society or are in some way unjustly dealt with.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?< I'm old and bitter and dreaming.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I'm fairly certain that I'd be a Ravenclaw because I'm intelligent, creative and original, and I value those qualities as well as the wit and joy for learning that are so innately Ravenclaw.
16. Do you care which gender you are stamped as (If yes, tell us which gender you would like to be stamped as)? No, so long as the character fits it's fine.
17. Anything else? Not particularly.
18. Picture I don't have a picture but I'll give you a brief description. I'm fairly tall, around 5'9", with a long thin build. Lean I'd say. I have dark ash blond hair, straight, and fairly long and wild at the moment. Pale slightly unhealthy looking skin. I have a thin oval face with big narrow gray eyes that have a tendency to stair blankly at things. I generally wear dark or contrasting colored clothes (well fitting), and I also wear glasses and an earing in my left ear.
