1. Name: Patricia
2. Age: 18
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? I have always, always wanted to visit England. It's got such a gorgeous landscape and I've got several good internet friends from there who I would visit in a heartbeat. But could I live there? I don't know. I would have to have an emotional attachment to it or it just wouldn't work for me - I'm a homebody at heart, and "home" to me is my friends and family, not a phyiscal place. I think I'm okay where I am now, for the moment.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? It would be an escape from everything that stresses me out day-to-day. Lots of comfortable sofas and couches, bookshelves, nice lighting for reading, and a nice area for dueling, because I like that sort of thing. :| It would have lots of dark red and green hangings, and soft carpeting ('cept for wood in the dueling area) and some way to pipe in music, if that's allowed.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? Harry Potter. Don't get me wrong, he's a very nice boy, but. He's a bit too perfect for me, and that gets on my nerves. He tends to screw things up and then whine about how he screwed them up but it's not really his fault and he can't be blamed because he's done all of this great stuff and sometimes it's just too stressful. ;_; Emo boy.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Neither. It's a sign that I need to refill it and I must be thirstier than I thought. (I tend to be a realist, neither an optimist nor a pessimist)
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "I laugh, I love, I hurt, I try, I need, I lose, I fear, I cry. And I know you do the same things too, so we're not too different." Or something like that, it's hard to remember. The point is, though, that I try as hard as I can to not see things as biased as I sometimes see them; I try to see everyone on an equal ground. This is impossible, really, but - I try not to judge.
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? Friends. Sheerly because my family has my respect because they have to - they're my family. I pick and choose and keep my friends based on my own personal choices - so we tend to be closer and more responsive to each other. I can tell things to my friends that I would never, ever dream of telling my family.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Well, I live in the southern US. Back before my grandfather got sick, when I was six or seven, he used to put me on his lap on his ride-on lawnmower and let me steer and we would mow the lawn together. He'd put his baseball cap on my head and hold me tight around the waist and I remember smelling the grass and his cologne and feeling so at peace. It was wonderful.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I am jealous. Oh, man, am I jealous. My friends are my friends, and if you get in the way of that, or one of my friends gives me up to go hang out with another one of my friends, I will let you know immediately and without fail that I am displeased.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Most likely, yes. Not because of who was leading it (don't like Harry, remember?), but because of the cause. Dumbledore was my favorite, and so I would have done anything to aid him.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I try to take a step back and detach myself, because if I don't, I will immediately regret my actions. I will get frustrated, hot-tempered, arrogant and downright bitchy, and last out at others. Usually, it's too late to step back and I've already hurt someone before I realize I've done it.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? Compassion. I can be so mean, but I have the biggest heart in the world.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? A very old soul. I feel and talk and write like an adult, not the age I am. I see things from an idealist's point of view with a soul realistic twist on things, and I can oftentimes be bitter. I work with children, I love children, but my soul is old.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? From what I've been sorted as, I've been a Slytherpuff two or three times, and a Slytherdor once. I am in Slytherin in two communities, Gryffindor in another, both with very Hufflepuff-tendencies. Nice-girl-in-the-bad-house stereotypical stuff.
16. Do you care which gender you are stamped as (If yes, tell us which gender you would like to be stamped as)? Nah. I'd like to be a girl, but if I'm glaringly a boy, go right ahead.
17. Anything else? Nah. :) I hope this is a good one.
18. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!
Here is a picture I took with my coworker today - I'm on the right.
