1. Name: Sara-Jane, yes, two names in one name. I know.
2. Age: 14, 15 next saturday (12/3)
3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose? Well, this is a hard one. I LOVE to travel, but I've only been a few places (Mexico, and a few states up north). So, out of all of those I'm really partial to New York City. I love the busyness and how it's always moving. There's so many different cultures, opinions and people packed into 5 burrows. It's amazing. If I couldn't attend NYU and spend the rest of my life in NYC, I'd be perfectly content in staying in Texas, because...we just have that hospitality that is hard to find in other places.
4. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Right now, pillows, tons at that. It would be a comfortable little oasis that I could just go when I was feeling like complete crap. But, I tend to get ADD a lot so..I wouldn't mind if it ever changed up. For example, if I had a huge amusement park in my Room of Requirement, I wouldn't despair. There's always room for spontainaty in my life, keeps me from going out of my mind in boredom.
5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character? This is a tough question, because although there are characters that we are taught to hate (Umbitchbridge, Snape, Voldemort, Lucious), simply because they all add to the whole feeling and theme of the books, and without them the series as a whole wouldn't be the same. However, I've never been fond of a select few, including Ludo Bagman. Sure, he's got that happy disposition and everything. But, something about his gut and personality as a whole makes my skin crawl. He just seems like one of those people who would turn you in for an extra buck.
6. Is the glass half empty or half full? Half full. I'm an extreme optimist, sometimes to my favor, and sometimes not to my favor. Nevertheless, it alwasys seems to come out okay, and I've found that I'm perfectly comfortable with that. Besides, no one likes a "Negative Nancy" anyway, right?
7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality. "The most wasted of all days is one without laughter." -E.E. Cummings. I've pretty much always been a really happy person, and when a day just goes plain wrong, it really makes me depressed. That's why, I feel as though they are "wasted".
8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends? This, like question 5 is a really hard question for me. I love both my friends and my family more than anything in the world, but, I suppose that I love my family and they come first over my friends. Over the years, I have learnt that when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, your family will always be there, and you can trust them more over your friends. Plus, they know things about you that you don't even know yourself, which can be scary at points. However, friends are the people that you can talk to about anything, and they'll understand your humor, your way of thinking, and not question it, like your family might.
9. What is your favorite childhood memory? Oh man. I was such a dork when I was younger, along with my growing obsession with HP, i loved history, to the extent of having my poor grandmother make me time period dresses. I wore these things like they were going out of style. I'd layer on pettycoats, dresses, aprons, bonnets, stockings and boots in the middle of summer, and then I'd have the odacity to head outside, for all the world to see. I have to say, it's quite embarrassing now, but back then, I loved it, and without those days, I wouldn't be who I am today.
10. What would you say is your biggest flaw? I am extremely stubborn, and I tend not to learn from my mistakes. History definately repeats its self in my life. You'd think, that after failing an algebra test three times in a row that I'd learn something from it, but usually in the long run I don't. But it's not just the algebra test--this happens to me all the time, another example is that I tend to be extremely gossipy--which only leads to my demise. I sort of just go with the flow good or not, which goes against me more times than not.
11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.? Definately. I tend to be an extremely opinionated person, and the D.A. would be right up my alley. Plus, I completely supported Dumbledore in everything he did, and will always be loyal to him--no one can replace his half moon spectacles and disposition. So yes, I would be in the D.A., but not just to be apart of it. I tend to put a lot of myself into the things I do, and I think that if i were apart of the D.A., I wouldnt just be another Marietta, I'd really try to make a difference. I'd probbaly end up being one of those people who stayed until the last person left, just so I could perfect some counter-jinx, it's just how I am.
12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations. I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky person, so I usually just brush it off my shoulder and hope for the very, very best, usually, it works for my side--but then theres the times where it doesn't, and I just keep being stubborn to no end until it does work in my favor.
13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice? I value both, but I suppose compassion more than justice. If you look back into history, the people who make the books are usually the ones that go against the grain, and are compassionate about what they do, I guess that's why the "Little House on the Prairie" books were written about spunky Laura and not safe, good-girl, Mary. In the long run, the people who really are passionate about life and what's going on in the world are the ones that live the best lives, not the ones sitting behind a desk and taking whatever their bosses tell them to do.
14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul? I like to think that I have the best of both worlds. My friends have always told me that I'm wise beyond my years, honest and that I give good advice, but there's a side of me that isn't like that. I'm extremely good-souled, and I tend to like just about everyone I meet--which makes me immature in ways. I also get extremely hyper...often. It's just what day you catch me, I suppose.
15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in? I like to think that I fit in with the Gryffindors, you know, the happy-go-lucky, brave, honest ones of the bunch. But theres a part of me that goes to the Hufflepuffs, the ones that are cautious, loyal and friendly to everyone--so I suppose i'm a Gryffinpuff? But back to the main question, I'm thinking more Gryffindor, as I reflect onto my life right now. Plus, the Gryffindors alwayse seem to be up for an adventure and a good time, and I'm always like that, no matter how I feel--I hate sitting at home. Especially on days like this, I'd much rather be at school, because although I'm slaving over The Odyssey and memorizing the countries of Africa, I'm having an amazing time with my best friends and laughing my heart away.
