1. Name: Lindsey

2. Age: 17

3. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?

I've never been out of the U.S., so out of places I've actually seen, probably Chicago. I'm not much for the 'burbs or the countryside, especially the latter- I like activity too much. Ideally? I've always loved London, though I've never actually been there (this is going to change next summer!) Why? To be honest, I'm not too fussy as long as I can find decent work and a place to live. It's not where, but what I can do. If that makes any sense.

4. What would your Room of Requirement look like?

Well, the room changes, yes? I have two primary "gears" so I'll have it reflect that. A lot of the time it’d probably be a room decorated like an old-fashioned harem. Lush colors, curtains and cushions everywhere, very delicate, feminine, and decadent. Other times when I’m in my “business mood” I would just need something impeccably clean, stark white, and utilitarian. This reflects my general approach to a lot of things. I can be a stoic force of nature when I want to get something done, but once I’m there, I'm a bit of a hedonist. Okay, more than a bit. :x

5. Who is your least favorite Harry Potter character?

Gah. I don't even know at this point. I suppose Hagrid, because he just grates on me. I know he means well, but I still feel sorry for the people he comes into contact with. I just don't feel any real attachment to or interest in him. It's not a particularly violent hatred, but I can't think of anyone else.

6. Is the glass half empty or half full?

Neither? I prefer to think of myself as a realist. ;) Okay, okay, half empty- I'm a bit jaded, though I do know how to find the humor in the doom and gloom.

7. Give us a quotation (Can be from a famous person, a song, or even a poem-whatever you want) you feel represents your life or personality.

"That which does not kill me makes me stronger." (or something like that, I am going by memory) - Nietzsche
This pretty much sums up a lot of the events of my life that shaped who I am today. I am resilient and I am far more grateful for the difficulties I've experienced than bitter about them.

8. In your life, who comes first: family or friends?

It depends on the situation, but overall I would have to say family. Not just because they're family, but because they've been there for me when I needed them more. It comes down to who has had my back, and in that case, it's family.

9. What is your favorite childhood memory?

Err...I think I'm going to have to skip this. Not to sound tragic and emo, but I'm thoroughly stumped. Will edit if I can think of something.

10. What would you say is your biggest flaw?

Well, the first thing that comes to mind is something I consider a virtue- but not to too large of an extent. I've noticed it more than ever lately because of modding an RPG. To go back to question #7 and also #13, I'm big on the idea of natural selection, "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen," etc. etc. and while I think that is good to a certain extent, I just wish I wasn't absolutely inept where personal feelings are concerned. Everything comes with a price, and I think I need to be a wee bit less quick to sacrifice people's feelings as that price. I'm just somewhat compulsive about doing everything as efficiently as possible and I tend to leave people in the dust.

11. If you had been at Hogwarts during Harry’s fifth year, do you think that you would have joined the D.A.?

No. The risk of getting caught would loom over my head too much. If anything, I'd try to prepare myself on my own.

12. Describe how you react to difficult or stressful situations.

"Fight or flight," pretty much. You can learn from your difficulties (which I greatly value, re: question #7) and you can certainly fling a lot of shit at me (and I mean a LOT) but sometimes it isn't just worth it. Escapism comes in handy then.

13. Which do you value more: compassion or justice?

Justice for sure. I don't rely on feelings for any sound form of judgement because they're too inconsistent. Learning to own up to your mistakes makes a stronger person, as I've said previously.

14. Would you say that you’re a child at heart, or that you have an old soul?

Old soul. I grew up with the elderly and didn't play with the other kids much when I was younger, so I bridged the generation gap myself. I also think I had to grow up a bit faster than my peers. Even today, the friends I have that I get along with the best are in their 20's.

15. Which Hogwarts House do you think that the Sorting Hat would place you in?

Slytherin, but I do consider myself a Slytherclaw (with a considerable inner Gryffindor that keeps expanding and trying to eat the eagle.) I'm a Slytherin at hogwarts_elite, at any rate.

16. If you have a picture of yourself and feel comfortable posting it, please do so! Pictures are fun!

Hmm. I'm not that fond of pictures, but ok. D:
