I'm really quite excited about going to school in September. I need to get some details figured out and.. well... apply. So, you know, get everything done with registering. But I'm gonna do it!! And then I can finally escape my candy store job.
But speaking of candy store job. It being January and all, I've had several customers come in saying "oh I shouldn't have anything cuz I'm on a diet." Diets confuse me. You lose the weight for the week or two that you're *on* the diet, then you go back to eating the way you normally do and gain all the weight right back again. How many ppl have had successfully kept the weight off *after* the diet? Like, no one. That's cuz you just have to change the way you eat. Indefinitely. And exercise. If eating junk food and being lazy is more important to you than losing weight then you're gonna be fat. Clearly, for the majority of the population, this is the case. I see it every day. It's ok if you wanna indulge in a little chocolate now and then but moderation. Learn it.
Anyway, I'm in no position to give eating/diet advice. I know I have issues with weight and fat paranoia but I think it's getting better. I had a junkfoodalicious weekend with my wonderful boyfriend last weekend and it was fantastic! :)
I've been reading a book I got for Christmas, or my birthday.. can't remember which. Memoires of a Geisha. I've seen the movie a couple times but in the book you get right into the main characters head. She's telling her story to the author/translator so you get to hear everything she was thinking and feeling and all the emotions. Sooo much more in depth than the movie. The movie was an objective point of view about becoming and being a geisha. Reading the book, you feel like you're there. So amazing. I recommend the book for sure.
