TIMELINE (CANON): Just as Sasuke leaves them and Suigetsu decides a fight is a good idea. (chapter 380, I think)
HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION: Your character encounters an old enemy in an abandoned warehouse, but the enemy is unarmed and powerless.
note: I kiiiinda stretched this one a little, but it still follows the prompt. :3
" 'Find Suigetsu, Karin.' Tch. Find Suigetsu? Why the hell would I want to do that?" Karin complains to herself, because she didn't voice it when Sasuke had given the order. "He can be in a ditch dying for all I care." She steps easily, despite her choice in footwear, over the tree roots in her way.
"He's an idiot for going this far out anyway." Her muttering continues, and she checks for Suigetsu's chakra signal again. She finds he hasn't moved, and she shakes her head at how damn lazy he is. Telling herself it's good that she doesn't have to keep changing her path to follow him if he was moving does nothing to help bring up Karin's mood.
When she finds herself facing a large warehouse, Karin checks once more to confirm Suigetsu is the only one there. It's safe, and she goes in to find Suigetsu hanging from a trap by his ankles, water cups out of reach.
She doesn't try, not even the slightest, to stop herself from laughing.
"Oi! Psychobitch, took you long enough."
"I think I like you best this way," she sniggers, and steps forward. "What's the matter? Cant just turn into water and get yourself down?" His silence is all she needs to start laughing again.
It takes somewhere near a half hour of teasing him and a solid punch that makes her knuckles sore before he convinces her to let him down.
