Someone had put up a countdown to Christmas in the lobby of the Princeton-Plainsboro clinic. It had only been up for one day and Chase decided he didn't like it. It was currently reminding him that he had 24 days until the worst clinic shift of the year and 18 days until the hospital Christmas party. In fact, it was making everyone a little edgy.
Combined with the fact that he was covering House's clinic shift and just had to tell a patient that they had cancer, he was more than a little tense. He caught Dr. Wilson in the hallway, and as he made arrangements for him to talk to the patient, the other man eyed him suspiciously.
"What" snapped Chase a little nastier than was strictly necessary.

"Nothing, you just look a little strung out" Wilson said, not prying, just observing, as was his way.

Chase sighed, "It's these bloody clinic hours, I'm covering House's too and can't anyone take down that stupid countdown." he said, exasperated as he passed it for the fifth time that day.

Wilson looked worried, "Do you want to go out for a drink or something after your shift, I think you need a little unwinding."

"That might be a good idea," muttered Chase, taking a case file from the front desk and getting ready to head to another patient, "good lord this one thinks they have the avian flu."

"I'll see you at 8," Wilson smiled as they headed off in opposite directions.

They went to a bar a little further from the hospital than the usual doctor's hangout. It was Chase's idea, as he was quite sure he would try and strangle that stupid nurse from the stupid clinic if he saw her there. Or that other nurse, the one with the navel ring who wore her uniform just a little too tight, and she was always at the bar during her time off.

Chase was on his third drink before he would let his face loosen from an intimidating scowl. They had let their conversation wander through work, and House, and work, and Wilson had figured out that Chase could pretty much complain about anything that had to do with either.

"And you know who else I hate" said Chase sullenly, sipping from his fourth random fruity drink and setting in for a long rant. "Cameron, she's so annoying with the weeping over dying patients and nervous breakdowns and going all googly eyed over House."

"Tell me about it" said Wilson, looking over Chase's shoulder to eye the guy sitting at the bar behind him.

"And House being smug all the time, because he has women practically begging to hold his cane, and why should they even like him, he's a narcissistic sarcastic asshole, not a charming pretty young doctor with floppy.....wha...." Chase noticed Wilson's line of sight and turned to see what was so interesting, when he focused on the man sitting behind him he turned a sly look back at Wilson, who had turned a shade of pink that almost matched his sweater vest. Really, pink sweater vest, Chase should have suspected all along.

"And I suspect you're extremely interested in House's pursuers, aren't you Doctor Wilson" Chase grinned and thought himself very suave.
"Hmm?" Wilson picked up the rest of his rum and coke and drank it in a last gulp. He was going to have to be a lot drunker than this to breech this subject.

"You know what I'm talking about you great poof" Chase said, blinking in what he thought was an innocent way, then promptly falling off his chair. Wilson was glad for the change of subject anyways.

Chase had puked in Wilson's car, on the road, in the bathroom at Starbucks, and downed a large coffee before they made it back to his apartment. Needless to say in a much less drunken state; but Chase was now unbelievably horny.

"Here we are," Wilson said when they got to his apartment, ignoring the fact that he needn't have even followed Chase up to his door in the first place. "Well, I guess I'll see you at the hospital in a few..."
"Or we could have hot sex" said Chase before thinking about it, apparently he wasn't completely sober.

"Um, yes, or we could have… I like that idea a lot better actually" said Wilson, pushing Chase into the flat and closing the door behind them. Chase was a feverish kisser, and his lips were soft and warm and so inviting and Wilson imagined how they would feel wrapped around his cock - not for the first time.

The barely made it onto the bedroom before Chase was fumbling with his belt and buttons and Wilson had Chase's probably expensive shirt in a ball on the floor. Wilson pulled his shirt over his head as Chase pushed him down into the bed and straddled him, kissing deeply and leaving a trail down his stomach to his almost-undone trousers. He finished the buttons off with his teeth (which Wilson had to admit was quite a talent) and pulled at his boxers, taking Wilson into his mouth with a moan that almost made Wilson come right there.
It was fast and rough and Wilson didn't even make a sound as he came into Chase's ass, but Chase had writhed and moaned at every touch.
It turned out Chase was a cuddler, which Wilson found amusing, and before they fell asleep Wilson muttered "You're much cuter when you're not complaining."

The next morning Chase had clinic duty again, but felt a little less tense (at least Wilson had delivered on his promise) and even had the heart to not snap at a nurse when she pointed at the calendar and reminded him there were only 23 more days till Christmas.

He thought he had found a case House might be interested in and was bringing it to his office when he heard Wilson talking with House.

"You're kidding, that bet is so old it should have died out already. I owe you nothing." House said darkly.

"Ha!" declared Wilson "A bet's a bet and I was right, and I got damn good sex out of it too might I add, fifty bucks House, and dinner Friday night."

"Fine, but no funny stuff, and I'm cutting it down to 40 since we all know he boned Cameron too."

There were a couple of weird looks from the patients as Chase ripped the countdown off the wall, but most of the staff had seen it coming. Wilson however, was downright amused when he found the pages scattered about his office.

Three pages of fic, and enough courage to ask someone to beta. I am moving up in the world I am. THe spacing is off and some sentances make me cringe but I'm too tired and I needed to post it since technically it is December 3rd now. Shhh.
