on a lighter note...
we have a shit ton of thomas stuff we inherited from my nephew. it gets a lot of use and sometimes the tracks, especially the curvy ones, break. i was all ready to get new ones when warren simply pieced them all back together. he had them clamped and drying on the cutting board and i just liked the way it looked. seemed like a nice statement on domesticity--esp with the compost bin and knives and cuisinart in the back. teh wood and teh black metal clamps seemed to blend right into the decor. i don't think the picture is capturing the beauty i have created in my mind!
and the boys have been passing the time while warren is away on the skateboard. it's like a mini luge--they take turns pushing each other as fast as they can on this 20 ft stretch. they go and go until they crash into the front door with a THUD. thankfully no finger have been lost so far.
