sherlock where are you?
last night dh and i watched the assassination of richard nixon (sean penn, naomi watts, don cheadle). it was ok--only an hour and a half so i made it through even though it was WAY past my bedtime. anyway this morning before i had to go to the fair i noticed the empty rental box and decided to get the dvd out before jiro attacked it. (the dvd player is his toy of choice.) i opened the dvd player only to discover it was already empty. i scanned the room but didn't see the dvd anywhere. i asked dh if he put it somewhere, but he didn't.
the both of us spent an hour looking for it. then he spent an additional two hours. then i came home and we looked some more. we basically moved every piece of furniture in the house, went through the garbage, took every single book off of the bookcase, looked in every other dvd holder, etc. and it is NOWHERE.
NOWHERE.
at this point i don't really care about the $30 they are going to charge me (ok that is a lie) but i just really do not understand how it could disappear.
