karma and i had a fun time yesterday.

to make it up to me for such a fucked up saturday, yesterday life handed me a free pack of cigs and 5 bucks. just after i cleaned out my bank account to pay my speeding ticket and was walking out of the bank thinking about how little funds and supplies i had, a crackhead named Sassy walked up and asked me if she could offer me 10 dollars to take her down calhoun street. "you absolutely can," i said. so Sassy and i got into the car and listened to simon and garfunkle all the way to the other side of the crosstown. Sassy was humming and shaking the whole time and had a fistfull of bills, but i didnt ask questions. when i follwed her directions to a corner store, she asked me if i smoke cigarettes and if so what kind did i want. i told her camel lights and to that she said, "camel what? guuurl i ain't know if dey have dat, i ain't neva heard of dat shit before." but alas, they did. she came out with the cigs and $5, which is better than nothing. so then i took her home and we were both on our way. i spent $1.58 on ice for a post-concert-choir-kid-drunkfest last night and $2.37 on a subway kid sandwich. i still have a buck and some change. on another note, i am completely hung over from all the shots. those choir kids sure can drink. you'd never know it but wow. i should be doing a paper right now but what else is new. procrastination makes everything more enjoyable for me because i know that what im doing is limited and more special.
also, it feels like there are a thousand little gremlins with pitchforks scratching at my throat. off i go to a voice lesson.
