So last week was my B-Day it went ok, I made it to the ripe old age of 24 now. Went out with some of the fam, nice long weekend that I finnaly didn't have to work. Cookouts and all that stuff. Plus since the job is going well I decided to buy myself this
I really really like it, plus DW can ride on the back, we already have done a few hundred miles. At first I wasn't so thrilled by the hard bags, but they kind have grown on me, place to store my hat and lunch for my commute to work, but they still just pop right off with the push of a button, I should have taken a pic with the bags off it looks better. I really wanted a big displacement adventure bike like a BMW GS1150 adventure or a Triumph tiger or any of the bikes over at ADVRider.com, but ever since my days of owning the cagiva husqvarna I have always had a thing for Italian bikes, so of course when I found a nice Aprilia I was in love. Plus its not a sport bike, nor a cruiser so it is comfy on long rides, goes faster than I ever would need, and I can kick its ass on the dirt trails. My only regret it that I just talked to a friend of mine that owns a motorcycle dealership and found out that he could have snagged me a Cagiva GrandCanyon, oh well, I really would have loved a Cagiva but seeing as how they aren't even imported into this country anymore, and parts are pretty much non existent it probably was a good thing. Not that getting parts from Aprilia is all that much better, but at least sometimes some of the parts make it into the US even if it is 6 months after you ordered them.
