it's six in the afternoon and junmyeon's one room flat is as quiet as usual. he doesn't have much in here, except for a couch, a small t.v., and a couple of paintings on the walls. there are only four walls around him, a small kitchen tucked in one corner, his bed shoved against the wall on the other side. there's plenty of room in here for more furniture, but he just doesn't need it. he piles his books against a wall, too, and puts a small tree he's been taking care of since he moved here next to the tall towers of stories.
the couch might be too tiny, since it's only meant for one person. still, he shares the couch with his boyfriend, squeezing themselves into the squared space, and it takes a few squirming and shifting before it finally turns comfortable, and they spend the day like that. reading a book. watching old movies on t.v. sometimes, kyungsoo talks and talks, and junmyoeon listens and listens and never grows tired of feeling kyungsoo's breath trace words against the skin of his neck.
he hums in response, drawing circles on the soft curve of kyungsoo's lower back, and kyungsoo stops talking, all of a sudden. then, it's just silence. the faint sound of rain from outside. the tick and tack of the clock on the kitchen table. just kyungsoo and him. he could live like this and not have a single complain ever again. kyungsoo has his arm wrapped around his neck and this time, his face is close to junmyeon's, and he leans closer to him. and it's just the sound of kyungsoo's warmth telling him to kill the distance left between them.
kyungsoo crosses his legs over junmyeon's and trails the tip of his nose down his cheek till he finds his neck and then it's just the sound of kyungsoo whispering breathy i love yous
