I know that it's probably not their conscious goal...but my parents have really been crushing my enthusiasm lately. My father thinks that I'm just going through a "phase" rather than having a genuine interest in European culture and history. These books must not be good enough evidence. My mother, and at times, my father don't take my non-theism seriously. They're overly-conservative. They raise a brow to anything out of the norm for our family. Isn't it time for someone to break away, even just a little bit?

I really wish that I picked the Storrs campus now. I know that I'll find like-minded people at the branch, but...my life needs to be reformed.
