So the Japanese conference was about midnight my time, and the American conference started thirty minutes ago
At these conferences, Nintendo was to reveal pretty much everything regarding the Wii
And boy, did they
It will retail for $250 American. The console comes bundled with Wii Sports (holy shit a game actually comes WITH a console for once). Wii Sports features golf, tennis, baseball, bowling, and boxing. It'll hit America on November 19 (which is my birthday I might add), Japan on December 2. I haven't FOUND a Europe date yet but I can't imagine it being far off from these dates.
Virtual Console games pricing is $5 for NES, $8 for SNES, $10 for N64. Genesis and Turbografix-16 games will probably be $8 also but I'm just guessing at that, admittedly. Thirty games will be available on VC at launch, with 10 or so more being added to the roster every month starting in January. Also, the following companies are currently on board for the Virtual Console:
Confirmed third-party games available for launch: Call of Duty 3, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Need for Speed: Carbon, Madden 07, Elebits, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Wii Channels - finally, someone's found a way to turn a console into a media center without automatically adding $200 to the price tag. Get your news and weather updates, look at photos (since Wii uses SD cards, you can just pop the card out of your digital camera, stick it in the Wii, and view away), surf the internet, all on your Wii. Interestingly, Virtual Console is one of these channels (VC games, once downloaded, are stored internally and are available forever). One such channel, Mii, allows you to create a guy for use in Wii Sports and probably other games. Mii characters can be transferred to the Wiimote (which has a bit of internal storage itself) so you can take them with you.
Also apparently you can play homebrewed movies, and view and modify them in real time. Holy shit, it keeps getting better and better.

here Updates as they come
Metroid Prime 3 delayed to 2007, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Gamecube version) delayed to December
First online game for Wii is Pokémon Battle Revolution
I was slightly wrong on pricing for Virtual Console games. VC will use Wii Points, and you can get 2000 of these points for $20. NES games will run you 500 points, SNES for 800, and N64 for 1000. So it's basically what I said earlier, but with a wacky point system!
