the speed.. it's like 500kB/s!
the size didn't bother me so much since a lot of the patches were for apache and kde libraries, which are pretty hefty.

damn... that's a lot of patches for a linux os...

the number of patches was probably around 10. the size was due to the fact that i installed the binaries, so the patch required me to download a new binary. if i had the source on my machine, the patches would have been a lot smaller, but then i would have to compile them.
