Tapdancing cats

So the cap tapdanced on my laptop while it was opened and now I have no audio/video on it. I'm kind of(absolutely) pissed. I can't fix it. I've tried all of the troubleshooting, fix-it-youself crap, none of it works.
Hopefully my Uncle Marc will call me back with a solution, cause I'm pretty much going insane!!!
