In a handbasket

Swing-shift officially ends July 1. Not just for me, but for the entire place. Due to financial issues, the upper-ups have decided it's not profitable to keep the place open after hours. This, on one hand, can be considered a good thing. This means no more driving home in the dark from Ebensburg. In fact, it means no more Ebensburg at all, since the only reason I go there on Wednesdays is to relieve the rest of them at 4 until 7. And while I will be thankful not to have to make the trek once a week, my sense of security is not so good.

I am the most recent hire to the clerical department, and if they are trying to pare down, I would be the first to go because of the union. I don't even want to think about job hunting again. I really have no plan B. I really didn't have a plan A, besides getting a job after unemployment ran out. I don't have a goal or a dream or a direction. I'm just trying to survive.
