birthday part one
so this happened:
same artist that did my dad's and my combat patches on my back! i love it so... the bob-omb is so cute! that's totally me--a bomb with DJ headphones! also, my POS shoulder is a ticking time bomb so... this was on june 8th.
the day of... (the 10th)... i was having a fit because i thought the post office lost my boots. now featuring the most obnoxious boots in the world:
the fit was bad enough that joyce and i didn't do one of the things we had planned, which was to run around one of the local historical buildings here. but the boots are fucking amazing! i saw something similar on boot barn's website, so i looked at the tin haul company's site to see what they had. turns out that i fell in love with these, but i couldn't by them from the manufacturer. i ended up ordering them for about 90 bucks cheaper on amazon! but the fucking post office... jesus, they almost gave me a coronary. i don't even want to talk about how angry they had me. just ugh.
we went to leblon's for dinner, which is the local brazilian steakhouse. FUCKING AWESOME. that's all i got. just fucking good. drinks were amazing, food was amazing, and some dudes looked like they wanted to hit on joyce in front of me lol.
we didn't want to go straight home after dinner, so we went to the bog garden. the bog garden was cool until creatures started scurrying around--i'm not that kind of biologist. i don't dig wildlife like that. so i was like nope nope nope! then we rolled by one of the local bars and texted some of our friends for a couple of birthday drinks. that was... interesting. but it's all good. then we came home for the night because we knew we had to get up to go see my dad in the afternoon.
