i got a song stuck in my head
walking down street number nine
and its not by any of these lame indy rock bands that are all the rage these days
hopefully this fad will be over before i even realize
like the war on iraq
last night i went to the worst show ever
first of all when i got there i saw a banner that said
advance warning tour
brought to you by cmj and mtv
i wanted to leave right then but instead i went to the bar and got a drink
i missed the first band
i caught the end of the second band longwave
they should have been called shitwave
i saw the raveonettes
yeah it was much better the first time when it was called Blondie
headlinging was the mooney suzuki
and their stellar performance prompted me to ask
on what day did God create the mooney shitzuki
and why couldn't he have rested on that day too
i refence spinal tap a couple times because that's all i could think when mooney suzuki brought out a giant hand (with the index finger pointing in the sky) and carried it around raising to the sky
the audience quickly threw their hands up to imitate this "rock" symbol
i on the other hand (along with my good pal rob) threw up my middle finger instead
did anyone read the spin article about the strokes
being the band of the year
i didnt - rather i couldnt
because i was forced to burn the magazine (which wasnt even mine) after i read the title of the article
