regret
a blank postcard says
I am in the wilderness
They get a postcard from Kent. On the front is a beach. Non-descript. The picture doesn't give anything away. Dan thinks it looks despondent. Claire says it looks calm. He hates it.
The back is worse. Just the address of the squat in black ink, no names. There's no text on it, either. It's completely blank. Jones didn't have anything to say to them.
He puts it on his table and when, a day later, his coffee mug leaves a brown ring on it, he staples it to the purple cork board.
He wants to say something to Jones. Anything.
