Duo hated that Heero didn’t trust him. To be honest, it hurt more than he thought it would hurt if Heero told him he never had a chance.
Trust was everything to him, and Heero knew that. And Heero, more than anyone, should know how important an order is and how much you need to follow them.
Heero not trusting Duo and not following Duo’s orders is what had gotten the both of them hurt.
And Heero being hurt was worse than any hurt Duo might have received. It hurt even more that he didn’t know why.
