Naruto watches with wide, hurt, eyes as Sakura throws herself on Sasuke and wishes, just a little bit, that it could be him instead but he knows that she loves him and she'll never see him, not Naruto, not now. Still, he can't hate Sasuke, he thinks he loves him too just a bit. (he doesn't yet realize that a little bit translates to a little too much, doesn't yet realize that he'll do anything to save him, to protect her, sell his soul)
So he walks out of the room and leaves the girl he loves with the boy he loves and wishes for their happy ending, knowing that he'd do all he could so they could reach it.
