5:34pm.
That meant he'd been staring at his closet for the last ten minutes, and he was no closer to deciding on an outfit for dinner. He'd made reservations for 6:30--someplace nice, but not expensive, which meant a necktie would be just as acceptable as casual wear.
For a moment, Wufei debated the merits of calling Trowa back and asking him what he intended to wear. No, he should be able to figure this out on his own. It wasn't that hard.
What would be appropriate for a second date? Was it a second date? That depended on whether going to a bar with your friend, getting toasted, and winding up back at your place having sticky hot sex until two in the morning counted as a date.
Was tonight supposed to be a date at all? Trowa had just said that he'd take dinner as an apology. Maybe he didn't have any romantic interests in Wufei to start with. That thought made Wufei's fists clench as he stood in his socks and underwear facing the open closet. All the second guessing was beginning to frustrate him. And he still couldn't decide on what the hell he was going to wear.
On an impulse, he grabbed a blue silk button-down shirt and a gold-patterned neck tie and laid them out on the bed. Then he pulled out a pair of khaki pants and a belt, laying them out and deciding that the outfit would be fine. Simple enough, it seemed.
5:51pm.
Should he wear the shirt with the tie, or open? How many buttons open? Were his shoes too nice? If he changed the shoes, he'd have to change the belt.
