Dean didn’t mean to look at the other car.
He rolled out from underneath the Impala when he heard the Chevelle pull into Bobby’s lot, winking at him in the sunlight. It was beautiful.
So yes, he stared - but only for a moment. When he tried to start the Impala up, he knew he’d done something wrong. That morning he’d at least gotten her started for a full minute, and now she only screeched.
“I was only looking,” Dean said. “You know I’ve only got eyes for you.” He tried again, and her engine purred. “You alone, baby.”
