The Visit
My least favourite stage. Don't really like this, but I couldn't think of anything else that they would argue about, except for trivial stuff which wouldn't make sense if Cameron wasn't in Atlantis and not on Earth.
She had been surprised to see him arrive on the Daedalus' next trip, that much was clear to him. But it hadn't occurred to him that she would be unhappy about his visit until they were alone in his room. “You should not have come here. Not for me.”
“I admit that you are the main reason that I came here. But I have plenty of other reasons too. I mean, I need to babysit Daniel, see how Sheppard's doing...”
“You are here for me.” She sighed, not wanting to have the discussion but knowing that it was inevitable. “I know how much SG-1 means to you, Dr. Jackson explained what you went through to get your team together. I fear that you want too much from me. I do not expect you to leave your home, and you should not expect me to leave mine.”
“Teyla, I'm not proposing marriage here. I just wanted to see you , that's all. When the opportunity to come to Atlantis came up, I couldn't say no. I'm attracted to you. You're attracted to me. I don't care what happens a few months or a year down the line, I just know that I had to see you again now. I'm not planning on giving up SG-1 and I don't for one second want you to leave your people. I know that it would be one hell of a long-distance relationship, but stranger things have happened.”
Her arched brow made him smile, and he suspected that she had heard that phrase on more than one occasion since arriving in Atlantis. “You do realise that we're having an argument about a relationship and sacrifices that are still completely hypothetical, right?”
She moved closer, fisting his jacket as his arms wrapped tightly around her waist. “The sacrifices may be hypothetical, but the relationship is not.”
