Anthy hates it when Utena-sama talks about her prince. She hates the love and adoration that shine in Utena-sama's eyes because she knows the truth. Anthy knows that Utena-sama's hope will only bring her bitterness and suffering.
Anthy has seen what what hope does; she has seen it break the strongest of men, and she knows it will destroy Utena-sama.
Anthy had hope once. She knows better now; knows that disappointment hurts more when you're not expecting it.
Utena-sama wouldn't understand that. Utena-sama is pure, trusting, and kind. Utena-sama makes Anthy dream of more.
