She cannot breath. She cannot breath and she wonders how terribly pathetic she is that the very air is killing her, poisoning her blood, robbing her senses yet again.
But it is not her usual savior pulling her from the deadly air. It is not even one of her comrades. Instead it is what might be an enemy, a demon lord posing as a determined god.
She does not ask why. She only thanks him profusely, noting that he does not respond.
It is only later that she realizes he has saved her from such a death by air before.
