Star Wars: Obi Wan/Anakin Skywalker, Seven Deadly Sins: Pride
Pride, Envy, Anger, Sloth, Greed, Gluttony and Lust

Author's Note: Takes place after The Phantom Menace: Anakin is a Jedi Padawan learner. This particular bit takes place in the Jedi Temple. It was a quiet morning. Was, Obi Wan reflected humorlessly, as he watched the younglings mill about in groups before their earliest classes, rubbing sleep from their eyes as they talk. Obi Wan studies them all, then looks to the youngest group. And there is Anakin, standing quite a few heads taller than all of the four year olds. The younglings have crowded around their older peer, and are staring at him, open-mouthed as he speaks to them.
Obi Wan watches him for a few long moments, and he considers, not for the first time, whether or not Master Yoda placed him with the youngest of the younglings to try and shame him out of becoming a Jedi.
Or perhaps he was placed there to shame Obi Wan out of being this young man’s Master.
Obi Wan shakes off this angry thought and make his way over to his apprentice, clearing his throat to catch his attention. The boy turns, smiles, then bows.
“Master Obi Wan!” He says, then he looks back to his crowd. They look up at him with awe in their eyes. He looks at Obi Wan. “I was telling the rest of my class about how we sparred last night. I was rather good last night, wasn’t I? I nearly had you beat!”
Obi Wan looks at Anakin, severely, and the bright smile fades into a frown.
“No.” Anakin looks down as Obi Wan turns away from him. “No, you did not, Anakin. I was being too generous with you.”
Anakin looks up, hateful for a brief moment, then he nods slowly. “Sorry, Master.”
“I forgive you.”
