Blank has never been sure when it started. It wasn't there one day and then it stole his breath the next. Zidane was everything he could want to be, everything he could want at all, and now, suddenly, he knew it with a certainty that made it seem irrational.
He wanted Zidane. Wanted to be beside him, the one to throw him a potion or kick his ass when he was an idiot. Wanted to argue with Baku for him. Would have done anything.
Zidane is laughing and smiling and flirting, always, but never picking up on the most obvious of clues.
