It was late evening when Kippei and An came into the living room. An was moving stiffly but smiled up at her brother. “Are you sure you’re alright, An-chan?” he asked, lowering her down on the couch.
“I’m fine, Kippei,” she said, shifting her position so that she was more comfortable. “You were very gentle.” She smiled as he settled on the couch next to her. “Do you regret?”
“No,” he said, taking her hand in his and bring it up to his lips. “It was what I dream it would be.” He kissed each of his sister’s fingers. “Do you?”
“Never,” she said, leaning against him. “I want to be with you, like this.” Her eyes shone as she lean against. “I’ve wanted this, wanting you for a long time.” She pulled her legs up to rest on the couch. “I love you, so very much.”
Kippei reached around, pulling his young sister closer to him. “I love you,” he told her. “It will be difficult and people will think this is wrong, immoral.” He nuzzled her hair. “Can you live with everyone hating us for our relationship?”
An welcome his arm around her, his warm body against her side. “Kippei, need you ask that?” she asked back. “As long as you are with me, I can deal with anything.”
Kippei lean down, releasing her hand so that he could tilt her head up to look at him. “And as long as I have you, I will welcome their looks of hate because they would be nothing to the pain of not having you by my side.” He lean down, meeting her lips in a soul searing kiss.
