He caresses Will until he hovers on the edge, his chest heaving, his blood rushing, his every breath a moan; and then he lets him down again, and it begins once more, that gently building back up. Lecter is an architect. Everything must be perfect. Every time his building is perfectly precise. One more brush of his thumb would be the end of his game. A few seconds more and he would not be able to prevent it. He lets him down and starts again.
