When Abby was a kid, her parents had let her spend a day being deaf, just to see what there world was like. She appreciated her hearing so much more after that: no loud music through tiny headphones, earplugs were a must at concerts.
"Abby?"
"Yeah, Gibbs?"
"Are we still getting dinner tonight?"
"As long as it's Thai."
He got close to her and whispered in her ear, "The spicier, the better."
She shivered. No matter what he said, when Gibbs whispered things to her…she loved it.
She was so very glad she had her hearing on days like this…
