TITLE: Getting It Right

She told him once that she doesn’t care for hearts and flowers. She continuously states that she’s more about the sex.
Daniel thinks she’s really saying that she’d like flowers but doesn’t believe herself worthy of them.
So, although he’s trying to convince himself that this is just dinner off base, he smuggles a brightly hued bouquet past security; giving it to her when he arrives at her quarters.
“This is not a date,” he says.
Vala laughs, but the misty look in her eyes tells him he did the right thing.
And maybe it is a date after all.
