(no subject)
Alright, so it's been a while. I've been busy. School and homework, work, the radio station, babysitting, housekeeping, applying to Ithaca and searching for an apartment down there, keeping Andy organized... it all takes up time. And hopefully everything is worth it in the end.
I'm putting everything into getting into Ithaca, and right now I'm not positive on what my chances are. My GPA is above minumum transfer requirements, and while my grades weren't so hot at MCC in the beginning, the last 3 or 4 semesters they've been fucking great and I've made the Dean's list the past 3, so that has to count for something. Plus those shitty grades were prior to switching my program and prior to the doctors acknowledging that there was actually something medically wrong with me (the migraines and dizzy spells that eventually led to worse things). So, now that I am fixed, or getting fixed, my grades have improved immensely, and hopefully Ithaca will see the improvement. I have an awesome recommendation, though I am wondering if I should get a second one. My essay was top notch, but then again when it comes to writing essays and papers, I don't have a problem. I am invovled as a leader at MCC as the Business Director of an organization. It's just those damn grades in the beginning that I'm worried will screw me over. So, now I wait. Which is the hard part.
November 11, Andy and I go back to Ithaca to re-look at our top two favorite apartment complexes. They are both wonderful and exactly what we want, and while in towards the higher end, in our general/expected price range. We should have everything figured out by the end of November/beginning of December. This semster has been flying by. I can't tell if it's because im insanely busy, or because life is just getting faster. As a child life was slower and days seemed longer, even though you were constantly on the go. Perhaps my perception of time is just changing.
I've been thinking about Christmas a lot lately too. I can't wait to start Christmas shopping, and I would right now, but the weather isn't quite right. I also need to set up a budget since I have more people to buy presents for than I thought I did, and with hours lacking slightly at work every couple weeks, the money just isn't where it needs to be currently. But it will be fun. :)
