No metastises
No cancer in the liver or other organs, besides the esophagus and upper stomach. A relief, but the difficulties are in full swing. Surgery to insert a tube into his bowel, so he can be fed via machine at night during sleep, because he can't eat enough food to sustain himself. The operation caused immense pain, and he wound up staying in the hospital an extra day. Chemo a few days afterward, and he has been nauseous every day since. Radiation every morning, but no side effects from that, yet.
I just want to spend what time I can in his company. He sleeps quite a bit. It pains me to be at work instead of at his side.
