I move to California in nine days. Holy. Smokes.
We're (Kelly and I) going to Boogie Fever saturday night as a going away thing if anyone wants to go. Just email me or respond for details.
I have close to nothing packed. I'm hoping to be uber productive with it this weekend. My clothes problem will be solved with shipping a couple boxes and leaving winter clothes here until I come home for christmas. I got rid of a TON of winter clothes, too. Like....gave 'em to good will. I followed the "If I haven't worn this in a year, I'm not going to" rule.
I'm going to make a trip to Fed Ex this afternoon to ship my DVDs (Head's up Rie) and probably at least a box of clothes.
Moving is hard. I'm geeked about it though. And have no fear. Its weird. I just have an overwhelming sense of calm about the whole thing. I don't have a job yet. Though I've been applying like a mad woman. But I feel like, "Its ok. I'll just work at Starbucks or somewhere at the mall until something better comes." And its all very surreal. (By the way, if anyone happens to know someone in that area and thinks they could point me in the direction of somewhere to apply, I'd be forever grateful. :))
The wedding is rapidly approaching. I got alterations done on my dress. It wasn't nearly as a disaster as my dress was for Tracy's wedding. Mostly because my dress fit when I bought it this time...except a week ago it didn't. So it got taken in 1/2 an inch on each side. And now its all sorts of lovely.
All of the stuff that's being moved around in the house in prep for packing and moving has kicked up a lot of dust. As a result, my allergies have been kicking my ass and I have a stuffy nose and sneeze all day. Bah.
Kelly is crazy stressed with the packing and the moving and the wedding and the dealing with all family all the time. However, we're geeky and still make an effort to at least hang out in the same room together for half an hour just to veg. Its the only semi-normal thing about our lives in the last week. Life is an upheaval.
