Unemployed again.
Today was the last performance of the current show, and I'm now on the dole - except that self-employed artists can't get the dole.
I don't have a gig for the summer yet, and the Equity mailing list for jobs isn't producing anything. On the upside, the touring company I've been working for has asked if I'll take the van for the summer, as there's construction at the office and the parking lot is dug up. Thought about that for all of three nanoseconds.
Oh well, I can always go up to cottage country and take care of my 91-year-old mother. The weather people are predicting a hot summer, and she has a pool.
