Movies and My Missing Flist

So I went and saw The Queen last night. A very good film, really, for a number of reasons. The spliced images taken from actual news reports of the time were wonderfully woven into the fabric of the screenplay. And speaking of screenplay, the writing was wonderful- I really enjoyed the subtle wit that was present through out the film. It's so hard to think that the tragedy happened almost ten tears ago, when I was too young to really understand the great loss. So, the acting was phenominal, the score fit nicely, it was shot with a gentleness that still retained strength (yeah I know), and the writing was great. The Queen may seem a little dry to moviegoers who expect Hollywoods glitz and action, but to those who appreciate a good perfomance and thought-provoking themes, this is one move that is definately worth the theatre ticket.

So about my flist. Where is everyone? Where have all the creative juices been flowing? It's strange to look at my friends page in the morning and see almost no new entries. I miss my fanfiction writers. And I know I'm pouting, but I can't help it- livejournal owns real estate on my soul. Maybe I need a new hobbie. Like tight-rope walking. Or spear fishing.
