TITLES ARE FOR THE WEAK!

Well, what do you think of my revamped journal? Sexy huh?

The last few days have been stressful. Monday Britt and I went store to store at the mall asking for applications for summer jobs. I believe I filled out and returned 8 - 10 the next day. bah... I wonder if I will even hear from any of them? *sigh* finding a job has proven to be quite difficult.

Lots of drama in the world of my acquaintances and friends, and most of it can be blamed on the want for a b/f or g/f! Go figure! I swear its a curse, if you actually want a relationship, then you won't get one. But if you are in a position where you no longer are in want of one, then one will come along...wtf?! Why can't people find relationships when they want one? And with whom they want to have one? Its psycho crazy and extremely fucked up. For those reading this with a b/f or g/f congratualtions! You're extremely lucky!

The guys in my life are driving me insane... 3man seems rather disinterested these days...Which saddens me greatly...He is going away this weekend too for football. Plus, I seem to be getting an adam lott (lol) of attention from one of my guy friends which is quite out of character for him. He called me 3 times in 1 day! And then yesterday he called me before school so that he could "share [his] morning" with me... Aww how cute. Or something... Sunday night I could not for the life of me get him to hang up the phone! And then yesterday he just kept talking... He's worse then any girl I know! (which may explain a few things) Don't get me wrong, I miss him and am anxious for his return home next week, however...what the hell? And this week, Cody has decided to be an asshole. Saying crap like "when your daughter gets raped and murdered..." or "who cares about the pope..." dude, luv ya, but shut up!

School sucks as usual. AP gov brought about the discussion of the death penalty. I'm against it. Many people are for it (and if you are ignore this next part). I found a ton of ineresting stats online today... here are my faves:
  • 14 people have been executed in 2005 thus far.
  • 958 people have been executed since 1976.
  • 3.5 - 4.5% of which were actually innocent. Thus 33-43 people were wrongfully killed.
  • The youngest ever to be executed (post WW2) was a 14 year old african american boy named George Stinney. Weighing only 95 pounds, the oversized mask fell of his face while he was being electrocuted by the state of South Carolina... Think about that for a minute...
  • State governments estimate that a single death penalty case from the point of arrest to the exectuion costs between $1million and $3million... Some cost as much as $7million  - cases resulting in life imprisonment average around $500,000
  • Whats awesome (sarcasm) is that New York state leaders after reinstating the death penalty in 1995 complained about the budget shortfall and the proceeded to drastically cut funding for public higher education and health care... great job guys! keep up the good work! (more sarcasm)

[If you don't agree with me, then I'm sorry...I'm a liberal, get used to it. Plus, this is my LJ and you can feel free to stop reading here, if you don't like what I have to say.]

The new Pope was chosen yesterday. Joseph Ratzinger of Germany (Papa Ratzi as he is known) became the 265th Pope. He chose the name Pope Benedict XVI - interesting name. Supposedly he is a transitional Pope, but we shall see. Being German and all I'm sure he'll be efficient. Where's Faulkner to give the German efficiency ramble when I need him? lol
