Long Time, No Talk

Sep 26, 2009 10:20

According to LiveJournal, it has been 141 weeks since I've posted anything. Sounds about right. I've spent about a half-hour reminiscing and want to share some closing thoughts, as this will be my last entry on this account.
  1. Reading back, I find myself shocked at how vulgar and depressing some of my entries were. Things were always up and down with me and I was completely candid with all of you about the exact details of my life. *whoops, sorry guys!*
  2. Reading back, I find myself smiling at the many memories that were made during my MHS days and beyond. I attribute who I am today to every day there, every friend I met, every event that happened (Good and Bad) and I thank God for all of those experiences.
  3. Currently, I'm a Sophomore @ North Park University in Chicago, IL  studying Computer Information Systems and up until a few days ago, I knew exactly what I wanted for my life. God has different plans for me, and revealed them to me just at a time I was comfortable and willing to listen.
  4. Currently, I am deciding what major path I should take that will prepare me for the rest of my life.
  5. This summer, I am going on a month.5 missions trip to Ecuador which is (hopefully) going to prepare me for the rest of my life.
  6. In the mid-far-ranged future, I will be living in Ecuador working with the poor and marginalized. I will be showing them God's love by listening to their stories, caring for them, and helping them through their struggles. (I realize now that I've been being prepared for this my entire life.)
All of you are wonderful people and are a blessing to have had as part of my life. I look forward to rekindling connections with those of you I haven't spoken with for quite some time. I want to hear about your lives and see how everything is going for you. I'm very excited about what the future has in store and know that I just have to run with whatever comes my way. It's a pretty awesome feeling being able to give it all up!

Peace & Blessings,
Justin
