Anyway, here's sort of a question. Characters that are extremely powerful in all aspects are usually frowned upon (referred to as Mary Sues/Gary Stus). But what about characters who are portrayed as weak in practically all aspects (strength, personality, physical features, etc)? What do you guys think of such characters? Do they exist in fanfiction (like maybe someone who wants to avoid creating a Sue/Stu purposely makes their OC extremely pathetic)?
[ And no, I guess comic relief characters who are constantly put down/slapped around by other characters don't count. ]
