Unfortunately Gardisil© offers no protection to you, but on the lighter side, HPV doesn't really pose a life threatening danger to boys anyway even if you do contract it ... moreso just a life long irritating side-effect. Nor will it offer any protection to your female friends assuming they're all sexually active by this stage (the crotch grabbing suggests they are) as they wont be able to use Gardisil© anyways as there's a good chance they may already have the virus. Either way, without Gardisil they will more likely than not contract HPV within their lifetimes. About 50% - 75% of people get a taste.

The only scenario where Gardisil© benefits you directly is if, in about 3 years time you sleep with a girl between the ages of 9 and 26 who had not yet been sexually active at the time when the initial round of vaccinations was offered, and who also abstained from unprotected sex for the first 6 months after her vaccine.

I'm afraid we kind of missed the boat on this one.

Should be ace tops for our daughters though ... provided they don't become sexually active before they reach 9 years old, otherwise they'll miss out too. But then I guess that's our jobs as parents; to try and raise them to make the right decisions when it comes to that sort of thing. You have to let go sometime though don't you.
