HAIR is officially over. We closed with a sold-out matinee yesterday afternoon, and we were all a crying mess at the end of the show. Its going to be hard to let this one go -- we all really bonded and were really proud of the work we did. Sheila is a role I always wanted to play, and I'm so grateful to have gotten the opportunity.
After the show, I headed over to TCT (the theatre where I work) for callbacks for Beauty and the Beast. I was drained from HAIR and already having a little post show angst, so my heart wasn't completely in it, but I wanted to give it my best, regardless. Today I found out that I was cast as the wardrobe (Madame de la Grande Bouche) ... which is the part I wanted!! She is silly, is featured, but doesn't have to carry the show in any way. Plus, she spends all her time with the other furniture (Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, etc), so that'll be fun.
So, if you happen to be around the area July 7 - August 12, come see B&tB!!!
