at the end of the day you're another day older....
Here is some of the best news in the world:
My very bestest friend, Jeff, got cast in the Les Mis revival on BROADWAY!!!!! His very first Broadway audition ever, as a non-equity kid, and he got it. He sat waiting for SIX HOURS to be seen, sang his 8 bars, and they had him keep singing -- he sang the whole song. Then they brought him back to sing for Cameron Macintosh. And a week later, they offered him the job. I could not be any more proud of him if he were my own child :)
So, he is moving to the city, and he really wants me to come with, and I really want to!! But I gotta figure out this Masters stuff first. It would be great if I could do both in NYC, but Columbia and NYU are sooooooooo out of control expensive. And maybe I could put the Masters off -- but I don't really want to do that either. So life is kinda in the balance while I make some decisions, but whatever the case, I will be seeing a lot more of my favorite New Yorkers comin' up, because I will be in NYC a couple times this fall, and maybe even as soon as this summer.
Other than Jeff's exciting news, tomorrow we start again with HAIR performances and I'm SO ready. We all met last night for a brush up rehearsal, and I have missed everyone in the 3 days since we last performed :) I'm ready to connect with my inner hippie, and bring Sheila alive for the next 3 days!
