nice little week
I took my own spring break this week, and it turned out busier than I thought it would be. I had my birthday off, in which Justin and I galloped around town not doing much, then back to my parents house for dinner. After that, he, Laura, Dean and I went to Doneraki's for some drinky-drinks... didn't know I could hold down shots of patron as well as I did.
Saturday, my mom took her kiddos to lunch. That night, we did a steak night at Laura and Deans and gathered round their fire pit. Sunday, went to mass, had lunch with Rocky, Jessica and Greg... yum! Then headed back for some window shopping with the mama.
Monday, my sister, mom and I took Cole to the zoo. What an adventure.. Cole never did grasp the concept that you're there to LOOK at the animals, not PET. That made him pretty frustrated, especially when all he wanted to see was the baby elephant. But all was well when we left to ride the train... something he had been talking about since we got there. I've never seen such a content little boy, but how could he not be. Trains are his favorite, and to be riding one sitting in the lap of his mama.. it was cute.
Tuesday, Justin had off, so we did... something, I really can't remember what.. Wednesday, I treated my mom to some fun, since she had been spending all her money on us. We went Galveston to see the Titanic exhibit. I went once before with Jessica and it was so interesting, just had to go again. Then off to a nice expensive lunch seaside. That pretty much took up the whole day, traffic was a pain, but its all good.
Thursday, I just hung out at the apartment and cleaned like crazy. We're getting ready to move (next Friday!), so I've been trying to organize everything and get it ready. Around 3ish, Laura came over with margaritas and we did a "happy hour" as we watched ANTM and chatted it up. Yesterday, aunt flo came... ugh, so I spent most of the day in bed, then did a little lite mall shopping, but the crowds were annoying me big time.
Anyway, today I get to go back to the store.. yay...
