I finally got the dates - Alicia Keys is performing at Oakland's Paramount Theater on Saturday, March 19th, and on Sunday March 20th. I don't know when tix are going on sale, but I fully intend to make at least one of those nights. I'm ALSO hoping that she will have a Meet and Greet for her Northern Calif fans: if so, I'll be on hand for that, as well.
I haven't, to date, seen her live. I could've gone to the Ladies First show last year, with Missy Elliot and Beyonce', but I wanted to see Alicia with her own gig, if that makes any sense.
All I know is that, to ME, R&B hasnt sounded this good in years. Alicia is grounded and graceful, can play a mean piano, and knows how to write a proper R&B song. I can't complain, I think the lady is fantabulous!
