Sweat, anger, perseverance, and the stubborn mentality of a bull made all my efforts possible today. I managed with no prior knowledge to defeat the TDSS Trojan. This one is particularly nasty. It isolates background programs and reroutes requests for info to empty space. Background programs are usually things like your anti-virus or your torrent programs. The issue comes up though when it drops into pay your registry files a little visit. Talk about a public speaker. This guy can convince all your programs that they are talking to all the right people and never let them actually "talk" to anyone. That means no more updates to anti-virus, no downloading the newest patch, and a constant re-route to any page that you don't want to go to. It took me about 3 hrs of scrounging research and a fanatical dedication to not wiping my computer to figure out how it works and what I had to do to fix it. Now, at about 2 am, I can go to sleep with the confidence that all is well in the world. Oh, if anyone knows of a better anti-virus/spyware/adware/malware than norton or mcafee, let me know. I've considered AVG, but I don't trust free. If it was that good, someone would charge for it.
Good Night!
