Anyone who's been in my car, and is particularly observant, knows I don't keep any "real" CDs in there... they are all burned from my computer (except for one
midnightcoder made for me when I was sick a few months back... awwwww!). Most of them are called "Fun Car Mix," leading
midnightcoder to often ask, "So what is on this CD?" and I answer *shrug*. I also have a few mix CDs of songs from my favorite artists. Two of them, I decided to re-burn tonight. I am quite proud of how the new versions turned out, and so I share the details here in case you wish to follow suit.
Jamie Cullum
Why Reburned: Because the last CD had one too many crappy songs from Pointless Nostalgic for my liking. Also had the desire to remove the song "Twentysomething" because I am now feeling more thirtysomething... D'OH!
Coolness of new CD: More representation from Catching Tales
Who will appreciate this the most:
sunniski 1. "I Could Have Danced All Night" (Twentysomething)
2. "Mind Trick" (Catching Tales)
3. "Next Year, Baby" (Twentysomething)
4. "Everlasting Love" (Soundtrack, Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason)
5. "Wind Cries Mary" (Twentysomething)
6. "London Skies" (Catching Tales)
7. "My Yard" (Catching Tales)
8. "Frontin'" (Twentysomething)
9. "Photograph" (Catching Tales)
10. "Pointless Nostalgic" (Pointless Nostalgic... duh)

Total running time: 66 min
Coldplay
Why Reburned: To include songs from the new CD, as well as correct a major oversight on my part: the exclusion of my favorite Coldplay song EVAR, "Shiver"

2. "Shiver" (Parachutes)
3. "In My Place" (A Rush of Blood to the Head)
4. "Yellow" (Parachutes)
5. "Violet Hill" (Viva La Vida)

Total running time: 75 min
On a side note, Viva La Vida, or Death and All His Friends is not only my least favorite Coldplay album to date, but also the one with an exceedingly crappy title. So sad. They could have done much better.
On another side note, I know this post will bring up the question: "Why are you burning CDs... why not just plug in your MP3 player?" And the answer is two-fold. One is that I am lazy, and don't want to go through the hassle of setting up my Zune if I am just driving to/from work, which is just 20 minutes away... I don't have a direct line-in like *some* people I know, LOL! Often times, I would rather pop in a CD instead of listen to rush hour radio. And the other answer is that I really like making CDs, dammit! :)
