I exist... really I do
I went to post, oh, three or four days ago, and the empty LJ window sat there for about 8 hours while I went off and did something else. Sad, but 'tis my life lately.
For those of you who haven't heard, midnightcoder and I are no longer residents of Boxborough. Two weeks ago we moved to a new apartment in nearby Marlborough. Of course, 'new' is a figurative term; this place is really old and therefore has all the charms and quirks of an old house (plus: beautiful big windows, minus: slanty floors!). And we are totally loving it. It is a two-bedroom, so now we have an office (where I am now) in addition to the living room (where Brian is now, sorting L5R cards), and breaking up the space like that is great. Plus the neighborhood can't be beat... downtown is only a few blocks away. And a Starbucks. :) Must give mad props to drakin769, poxyd, scoobydee2379, and topaz3in6 for being our "Pizza and Beer" moving crew (even though it ended up being Chinese and Disaronno), and sunniski for helping to pack the day before.
Work is going well. I was in lots of meetings over the course of January. But my leads brought in a lot of revenue, which is good. Speaking of work, today I stumbled across rabqsa in one of my daily Google News Alerts. I had to friend them, of course. I am sure they are the only LJ with everything you ever need to know about quality management systems auditing. I'm a dork, what can I say?
And scoobydee2379, I keep meaning to email or call you because I totally forgot that I bought you a shot glass in Arizona. I must get that to you. Yes.
Time to fold laundry! Did I mention our new place has a washer and dryer hookup in the kitchen? Oh man, it is ultimately awesome to not have to share with 25 other families. And I must add that you know you are an old married couple when you are all excited to go to Sears on a Saturday morning and buy major appliances. :)
