Wastin' away in Margaritaville

OK, so tonight I think I was the closest I've ever been to being.... drunk.

I know you just fell out of your chair, so I'll give you a minute to pick yourself up from the floor.

OK, ready now? Good. Here is the story.

I went out after work with a bunch of my co-workers for margaritas, because one of them is getting married and today was her last day at work beforehand. I had a very big, very yummy margarita (appropriately named "the Jimmy Buffett"), and very little food. All of a sudden I was feeling a little dizzy, and it seemed like I'd fall if I got off of my stool too fast. Might I mention that this is also the first time in my life I've ever sat at a bar - which at age 26 years, 5 months is quite sad indeed, but that's just the way I am and I know you all know it.

Don't worry, it wasn't so bad that I didn't feel like I couldn't drive home. Obviously, I'm on my lappie-top now so I made it back safely. It was just... a new experience.

I've now had a packet of trail mix and some Gatorade, so I am feeling more like my normal, non-margarita self.

Man, I am such a lightweight!!

In other news, my MP3 player is now in little bits in a plastic bag. I gave
midnightcoder free reign to open it up and see if he could fix the scroll wheel. It took a lot to open up that bad boy... must have been held together with some really frickin powerful Magic Smoke. He finally did get it open, and after oogling at the flash drive and battery for a little while, found that the wheel is held on quite precariously with two microscopic-looking notches. Well no wonder it got off-track so easily. Brian thinks he can fix it with some Crazy Glue, which I do not have. Hence, little bits in a plastic bag.

Just in case all else fails, I have developed Plan B.

music, work, friends, food
